Delete your account & data
This page explains how to delete your SwapMyShop account and the data we hold for it.
Delete one shopping list (no account deletion)
Sign in, go to My account, and tap the 🗑 (bin) next to any saved list to delete just that list. Your account stays active.
Delete your whole account and all data
To permanently delete your account and everything in it:
- Email privacy@swapmyshop.co.uk from the email address you registered with.
- Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
- We’ll confirm and permanently delete your account, usually within a few days and no later than 30 days.
What gets deleted
Everything we hold for your account: your email address, your name (if you added one), your password (already stored only as a one‑way hash), and all of your saved shopping lists. This deletion is permanent.
What we keep
Nothing that identifies you. Any remaining usage statistics are anonymous and aggregated, and cannot be linked back to you. We don’t sell or share your data — see our Privacy Policy.
